On-Call/After Hours Clinic
Lancaster Medical is part of an on-call/after hours clinic service, where you can see a doctor on call for urgent issues. The on-call clinic is not for routine or long-standing medical issues. If you have a medical emergency, you should present to a hospital emergency department.
The clinic runs 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You must call our phone number, 519-747-2172, during the on-call hours and follow the prompt to be put in touch with that day’s on-call clinic, as the location of the clinic changes each day (locations are across Kitchener-Waterloo)
From Monday to Friday, the clinic runs from 5pm to 8pm.
On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the clinic runs from 12pm to 3pm.
We also have a 24/7 telehealth advisory service where you can speak to a nurse. The phone number is 1-866-553-7205.
We have a strict policy against the use of walk-in clinics and urgent care clinics (such as but not limited to KW Urgent Care, Onyx Urgent Care, Laurentian walk-in clinic). Every time you go to one of those types of clinics, your doctor is charged by the government for the cost of your visit, as you already have a family doctor and are therefore adding extra costs to our taxpayer funded public healthcare system.
